A team which included two Łaszczuk & Partners’ lawyers: associates Anita Garnuszek and Krzysztof Riedl, won the 5th edition of Lewiatan Arbitration Moot. The team included also advocate trainee Maciej Gniewosz. Twenty-eight teams from Poland participated in the finals, with the finals held on 17 June 2016.
The winning team won also second prize for the best statement of claim.
Lewiatan Arbitration Moot (KAL) is addressed to advocate and legal adviser trainees from Poland. The Moot is based on a simulation of arbitration proceedings. This year case was based on an agreement regarding implementation of an IT system.
The moot consisted of two stages: written (preparing pleadings based on the case) and oral (during simulated hearings before of a 3-person tribunal consisting of experienced practitioners).
