Aleksandra Orzeł-Jakubowska

Aleksandra Orzeł-Jakubowska works mainly on litigation and arbitration disputes. She has been with Łaszczuk & Partners since 2014.

Aleksandra Orzeł is the editor of the arbitration.pl web portal.

Education and Experience

Aleksandra Orzeł graduated summa cum laude from the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw in 2014. In 2013-2014 she studied at the Vienna University within the Erasmus program. In 2012, she graduated with distinction from the American Law Center organized by the University of Warsaw and the University of Florida, Levin College of Law. Currently, she attends full time PhD studies at the Department of Civil Procedure of the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw and works on a PhD thesis "Arbitration in the Light of Constitutional Standards". She also teaches civil procedure at the Faculty.

In 2014, she received a scholarship of Lazareff Le Bars to attend International Arbitration Academy for Arbitration Law in Paris. She was also a member of the University of Warsaw team, the first from non-English speaking country to win Foreign Direct Investment International Arbitration Moot in 2014.

In 2012, she completed Mediation Clinic of the University of Warsaw and mediates in civil and commercial disputes in the Center for Dispute and Conflict Resolution at the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw.

Social involvement/organisations

Aleksandra is a member of Young Arbitration Forum, Young International Arbitration Group and Young International Council for Commercial Arbitration. She is an ambassador of International Academy of Arbitration Law.
