Hanna Talago Sławoj is a lawyer and philologist. She is CEO of Centrum Obsługi Zamówień Publicznych sp. z o.o. and is currently writing her doctoral dissertation on the EU’s Defence and Security Procurement Directive.
In 1993 she completed a course of study at the Graduate School (US Department of Agriculture) on government procurement rules.
Since 1994 she has been involved with public procurement issues in Poland. She was one of the first Polish procurement trainers, and has served as a utilities procurement auditor. She is the author of many publications, including articles in professional journals related to public procurement. She was an adviser to the parliamentary committee on passage of amendments to the Public Procurement Law, and co-organizer and lecturer at the first Polish postgraduate course of study in public procurement law at Koźmiński University.
She advises contracting authorities and contractors and appears as counsel in proceedings before the National Appeal Chamber.
In 2004 she was awarded the Gold Cross of Merit by the President of Poland for her services in establishment and development of the Polish public procurement system.
