Maciej Łaszczuk appointed new President of the Arbitral Council of the Court of Arbitration at the Polish Chamber of Commerce

Executive Board of the Polish Chamber of Commerce has appointed the Arbitral Council of the Court of Arbitration at the Polish Chamber of Commerce for a four-year term beginning 1 January 2015.

Maciej Łaszczuk has been appointed the President of the Council. The current members of the Council are Zbigniew Banaszczyk, Zbigniew Ćwiąkalski, Marian Kępiński, Andrzej Koźmiński, Małgorzata Modrzejewska, Rafał Morek, Wojciech Popiołek, Krystyna Szczepanowska-Kozłowska, Andrzej Szlęzak, Andrzej Szumański, Maciej Tomaszewski, Cezary Wiśniewski and Krzysztof Zakrzewski.

The Arbitral Council is responsible for, among other things, default appointment of arbitrators and deciding on challenges to arbitrators, establishing the rules for entry on the List of Recommended Arbitrators and List of Mediators of the Mediation Center of the Court, taking decisions on publication of rulings of the Court concerning important legal issues, at the motion of the President of the Council or the President of the Court as well as considering other matters related to the activity of the Court of Arbitration, including matters concerning performance of duties by arbitrators and mediators and compliance with rules of ethics.
