On 11 April 2014 at the Old Library building of the University of Warsaw the conference “Arbitration as a legal institution, social phenomenon, business service” will be held. The conference is organized by European Arbitration Centre within Polish Arbitration Forum.
Maciej Łaszczuk, partner, will be a panelist during a panel discussing arbitration as a legal institution. He will discuss whether arbitration is an alternative solution to state courts? The panel will cover the istota of amicable dispute resolution proceedings as an alternative to state courts, as well as the arbitrator, his or her appointment and role both in the proceeding and in the society. Other topics discussed cover obstacles to the development of arbitration in Poland and possible actions that should be taken to effectively use arbitration.
