Agnieszka Kocon

Agnieszka Kocon specialises in real estate law, privacy protection law and new technologies law.

She advises on sale, purchase, tenancy, lease and construction of office, commercial, logistics and industrial properties. Her experience includes advice on real estate transactions, from due diligence through planning and structuring of the transaction, to negotiation and drafting of agreements and closing.

She advises clients involved in new technologies, including e-commerce issues, drafting and review of contracts and other documents relating to e-commerce, such as terms of use and privacy policies. She also advises clients in the area of privacy protection and personal data protection, including development of comprehensive solutions for businesses and also covering trans-border operations in multinational capital groups. She assists in drafting and evaluation of documentation regarding personal data processing, data processing outsourcing agreements, agreements for transfer of data, as well as binding corporate rules. She conducts data processing audits covering the technical and organizational measures taken by businesses to ensure data safety. If irregularities are found, she assists in developing remedial measures. She represents clients in proceedings before Poland’s Inspector General for Personal Data Protection and the administrative courts.

She also advises on day-to-day activities of companies. She is experienced in litigation and arbitration.

Education and experience

Agnieszka Kocon began working with Łaszczuk & Partners in 2008, after serving as in-house counsel at a telecommunications company.

She is a 2003 graduate of the University of Łódź, and in 2002 studied law at Radboud University Nijmege in the Netherlands. She qualified as a legal adviser in 2008.
